Aspercreme is a pain relief cream that targets joint and muscle pains, such as those caused by arthritis or simple back pain. Its main action is due to the active ingredient Trolamine Salicylate, which is a topical analgesic. This ingredient works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the affected areas, which helps in alleviating pain.

When applied to the skin, Aspercreme quickly penetrates the painful areas. This leads to rapid and long-lasting relief from pain. The cream's formula also includes other ingredients like Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and Cetyl Alcohol, which contribute to muscle relaxation and provide additional anti-inflammatory benefits.

In simple terms, Aspercreme works by soothing inflamed muscles and joints, reducing pain, and providing long-lasting comfort, making it easier to manage joint and muscle pain.

Aspercreme Ingredients - Are they Safe & Effective?

The active ingredient in Aspercreme is Trolamine Salicylate, which is a topical analgesic. Among the other ingredients, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice is particularly notable for its beneficial effects. Here's an elaboration of some of these ingredients, backed by scientific research:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice:

Commonly known as Aloe Vera, this ingredient is well-recognized for its skin hydration properties. It contains freeze-dried Aloe Vera extract, which is effective in improving skin hydration, possibly through a humectant mechanism[1].

Aloe vera has been traditionally used for its healing properties, including anti-inflammatory effects. While it may contribute to overall health, scientific evidence supporting its direct impact on joints is still emerging. - Dr. Andrew Weil, Integrative Medicine Expert

This makes it suitable for use in moisturizing cosmetic formulations and as a complement in treating dry skin. Additionally, Aloe Vera is widely used in dermatological applications, including burn wound healing and as a topical treatment for various skin conditions.

Cetyl Alcohol:

This ingredient, commonly used in homeopathic remedies, has known anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is often utilized to address musculoskeletal and joint pains, though specific scientific studies detailing its effectiveness. Its inclusion in Aspercreme is due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which are beneficial in addressing musculoskeletal and joint pains[2].

Cetyl alcohol is often found in skincare products due to its emollient properties. Its use is more related to skin benefits, and there isn't substantial evidence to suggest a direct impact on joint health. - Dr. Ranella Hirsch, Dermatologist

Methylparaben:

Methylparaben is a compound that can be absorbed into the body through skin absorption, ingestion, and inhalation. It's often used as a preservative in many cosmetic products. Methylparaben can be absorbed into the body through the skin, ingestion, or inhalation[3].

Potassium Phosphate:

This ingredient is used to increase phosphorus levels in the body. Phosphorus plays a key role in the formation of bones and teeth, and in how the body uses carbohydrates and fats. It also contributes to bone health and the functioning of muscles and nerves[4].

Stearic Acid:

Stearic acid is known for its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is commonly used in various skincare and cosmetic products. However, more comprehensive and specific studies regarding its role in pain relief or anti-inflammatory action in a product like[5].

    Excellent Product
I have used Aspercreme for 5 years for muscle and nerve damage in my arm. It is the best product I have used to date. I have tried many...including hemp cream products, nothing is as effective for this pain as Aspercreme for me. I am now using it for shoulder and knee pain and yes, I have to apply it several times a day, but it HELPS ME!
