How Does NativePath Collagen Work?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and it exists largely in the skin and connective tissue. As collagen depletes with age, an additional amount in the skin could firm and improve elasticity, smoothing wrinkles and lines.

A study published in the Journal of Medical Nutrition and Nutraceuticals found that a nutritional supplement which included collagen, hyaluronic acid, and nutrients significantly improved wrinkle depth [1].

In addition, it can strengthen the nails, hair, and follicles. Collagen may repair damage to the bones and cartilage, which can help ease joint symptoms. A study in Nutrients concluded that collagen peptides improved bone mineral density in postmenopausal women [2].

It contains anti-inflammatory agents, which can reduce swelling in the body, including the skin and gut. This protein can promote better digestion by maintaining the integrity of the gut lining. It also supports arterial health.

Collagen contains antioxidants, which kill free radicals and decrease oxidative stress. This promotes healing in the body and strengthens the immune system.

NativePath Collagen Supplement Facts

Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Type I

– Collagen is a key protein that provides structure to the skin, found abundantly in connective tissue, skin, blood vessels, gut, and muscle tissue. It plays a vital role in maintaining skin elasticity, firmness, and hydration. As discussed in our comprehensive Nuzena Collagen Pure + Reviews, collagen supplementation has been linked to potential benefits for skin health, including reducing the appearance of wrinkles and promoting a more youthful complexion.

Moreover, collagen can strengthen bones, repair cartilage, and contribute to gut integrity. An article in Polymer provides current insights into Type I collagen and its various benefits[3].

Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Type III

– This protein also exists in the body, although not quite as abundantly as type I. It’s in the skin, blood vessels, and muscles. Combined with type I it provides skin and digestive health benefits.

An article published by National Library of Medicine explored Type III collagen in terms of gene and protein structure, tissue distribution, and associated diseases [4].

Who Should Buy NativePath Collagen?

It is a good product for anyone who wants to improve their general health and immunity, or who wants help with a specific issue like digestion, joint health, skin, hair, and nail enrichment, and many others.

What Do the NativePath Collagen Reviews Say?

The NativePath Collagen Protein Powder reviews were quite abundant online, and many of them were quite good. Users said they got numerous health benefits like better digestion and less joint pain. There were also customers who said the product did little, and some people had mild NativePath Collagen side effects.

Customers' before-and-after results with the NativePath Collagen supplement are as follows:

I liked that the product did what it said it would. It mixes really well, and the taste is good. I found that everything they promised about NativePath Collagen was true, and it's been a nice and effective part of my routine.
~ Candy M.

This NativePath Collagen really does the job! My hair got thicker, and my nails look way better now. I can really see the difference! Yes, it costs a bit more, but it's totally worth it because it really works! I'm super happy with the results and would tell anyone looking for a good collagen supplement to try it out. The only thing is it's a little pricey, but overall, it's a great product!
~ Severn

I gotta say, overall, I think NativePath is a pretty solid brand with a product you can count on. I appreciate the fact that it has minimal ingredients. However, gotta be real here, it doesn't dissolve well, and the price is pretty steep. Also, was kinda shocked when I opened the container – it was only half full. On the bright side, the collagen seems to be doing its job – less hair falling out, and my nails are definitely getting stronger.
~ Darla J

NativePath Collagen Reviews - Conclusion

NativePath Collagen is one of the best collagen drinks made solely of bovine collagen. It promises to provide numerous health benefits, like enriching the skin, hair, and nails, improving digestion, strengthening the bones, and enhancing joint health. This is a reasonably-priced supplement, but it relies on one ingredient alone.

According to a Randomized Controlled Trial, a 24-week study on the utilization of collagen hydrolysate as a dietary supplement in athletes reveals a reduction in joint pain and a potential decrease in the risk of joint deterioration, particularly in high-risk groups.[5]

There were quite a number of NativePath Collagen Protein Powder reviews online, with differing opinions. There were many positive reviews from users who said they got great health benefits from the product. There were also some customers who said the results were disappointing.

NativePath Collagen includes one ingredient, bovine collagen, which is fairly safe. There is a chance that you could have some mild side effects, although it’s not overly common. If you have unpleasant symptoms, stop using the product. It’s a good idea to see a doctor before taking a new supplement to get medical approval.

    Been taking for 2 years
I have been using Native Path for 2 years, and my nails don't crack, and my hair is definitely thicker. But the best part is that I have no joint pain in the morning when I get up. I am very active and have had many surgeries – knee, spine, shoulder, etc. – but at 62, there is always something that usually hurts, and I am pain-free. I also take their MCT Powder, and I love that too. I just noticed recently that both products don't dissolve like they used to, but I just stir them more.

    STILL USING FROM OLDER-STYLE CONTAINER
I will pay particular attention to a product I will open tomorrow which came in a newly designed container. I am very happy with the results of Native Path, particularly joint health. The product has always dissolved easily in my first-morning cup of coffee, so I am interested to see if the formula in the new packaging is the same, based on what the one-star reviewer said above. I had tried another brand before Native Path which did not dissolve so easily and upset my stomach.
  3. Rev. Diane Dougherty

    New Native Path Collagen
I have been taking Native Path Collagen for years...but the newly designed product is much different. One scoop does not immediately dissolve, is sticky, and has to be whipped to dissolve in liquid. I have NOT had this problem before. Could the formula have been changed?

A: There is no lactose in the products offered by NativePath.

  • Q: I take quite a few prescription medications, will this make me have a bad effect along with this collagen?

A: It is always best to talk to your doctor before taking any new supplements, especially if you are taking multiple prescription medications. Native Path Collagen is a dietary supplement that is generally safe for most people to take. However, there may be a few potential interactions with prescription medications.

  • Q: what chemicals are in collagen peptides that require a prop 65 warning?

A: "In California, there's a rule called Proposition 65 (Prop 65) that says companies have to give warnings if their products have chemicals that could lead to cancer, birth defects, or other problems with having babies. If a collagen peptide product has these chemicals, the warning is probably because of them, not just the collagen peptides. To know for sure, you should look at the product's label or ask the company directly. This will help you get the latest and most accurate info about any Prop 65 warnings."

  • Q: Will taking your Collagen every day give you gout since it is from and animal/cow?

A: Gout is a type of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the body, and it is not typically associated with the consumption of collagen supplements made from animal or cow sources. However, if you have a history of gout or elevated uric acid levels, it is recommended to speak with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen, including NativePath Collagen. They can provide guidance on the potential risks and benefits, and help you make an informed decision based on your individual needs and health status.

  • Q: How much sodium is in Collagen?

A: As per the nutritional facts of NativePath Collagen, it contains 50mg of collagen. Universally every 7 grams of collagen contains 14mg of sodium.
