Background
Dr. Elmari has been in private practice for the past 20 years where she combines her years of experience in the fields of psychotherapy, couples therapy, hypnotherapy and sexology. She is the president of The Southern African Sexual Health Association, is a well-known clinical psycho-sexologist, psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, couples therapist, public speaker and published author. She is considered a specialist in the field of relationship and marital therapy and sexology.
She is one of the only a handful of South African practitioners who passed the European Federation of Sexology and the European Society for Sexual Medicine’s psycho-sexology exam. She is now an EFS/ESSM: European Certified Psycho-Sexologist (ECPS).
She is registered as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with The Wellness Institute in Washington, USA, and is also registered with The Traumatic Incident Reduction Association (TIRA) in Michigan, USA, and as a Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Facilitator (USA).
