Doctor Reverend Wanona Wellspring attended the University of Texas at Austin for undergraduate courses as well as Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. She began her profession as a massage therapist in 1982 and by 1995 had become proficient in Myofascial release techniques specializing in soft tissue manipulation.

Doctor Wellspring appeared in Who's Who of American Women as the creator of Wellspring Massage. She owned and operated an Illinois State Approved Private Vocational School and taught Wellspring Massage, Myofascial Release, Medical Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Reflexology, Counseling, Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy Day Spa, Wellness Skills and Human Health and Hygiene.
